my dream is to build guitars. i am obsessed with them i have taken mine apart countless times and would love to make a career doing it

i live in washington state so is there any here or near by??

I'm not sure if there is any guitar factories, big or small in washington, but if you could find one im sure you could try and get an internship with them, maybe even get paid for it.

Hang around here long enough and you may not have to go to school. :lol:
With Ceri, Martian, AndyBigHair, Brother Dave, (and the the list goes for miles.....;
You could learn alot from them just by picking their brains for info.
I can honestly say I have learned lots from these guys and have loads of respect for the great amount of skill they have. Some of the project posts they have put up are very educational.

You may also check around with the local music shops and see if they offer any classes. We have a local luther who has classes were you learn to make either an electric or an acoustic guitar. They supply everything you need for the build. Its not a long term training program but it gives a great feel of what, how and tools needed in the process.
