Being new to the Fender world, I was wondering if someone could educate me on the stacking of the different series Fender puts out. In a nutshell:

1. Custom Shop
2. Artist
3. American Deluxe

And so forth. I know I left out a few series in between, my apologies for that. I just want to make sure I get the best value for my hard earned cash.

Help a newbie enter into the world of Fender without any regrets :D

The 3 lines you picked are the order of the most expensive guitars and the list runs long. Just pick a price point you are willing to spend and go play the guitars in that bracket. After the price hike where artist series jumped up to $2,200 they have dipped back to $1,600 so I would look in that range which would also include an American Deluxe which are all pro level guitars.

It depends tbh.
What do you play,How long do you play for? its all down to what you do :)

My opinion though is you study guitar parts like trems, strings, pickups and so on.
Buy an American Standard as that in my opinion is the safe point of great value for money, and if you find something not to your liking(they will most likely be small things nothing substantial) then alter it slightly :) add new pickups if you need them.

Just my suggestion

You have come to the right Forum and the Bros here will help answer all of your guitar questions. I haven't played a Fender solid body electric guitar that I didn't like even when used or damaged, I can fix most guitar issues. Each Fender guitar has a personality and character unique to it (including the Squire models), it is up to the player to discover what that is in the guitar and make it work for him/her, have fun shopping, try as many as you can.
