I told everyone at work I intend to stop unnecessarily considering their feelings when it may cause me to subvert my instincts for comedy. Should be a fun year

Last year my goal was to learn one SRV song all the way through every month. I didn't exactly stick to the one song per month thing, but I just realized that I actually did end up with twelve SRV songs that I can now play all the way through. Plus many other songs by many other artists that I didn't even know about last year. :D My other resolutions were to figure songs out by ear (done) and get better on bass (not done). This year I'm not sure what I'm going to do, I'll have to think about it.

Get a little better at some of the stuff I'm not so good at.

My slogan for 2010 and beyond is just "be better". Be a better person, father, husband, son and friend. Be better and take pride in my work and my hobbies. It's easy to be doing well and just coast and then all of a sudden it's 5 years gone and you're in the same place. By trying to be better everyday I think I'll enjoy life a lot more and I love it already.

My goal for the new year is to reconnect with friends and extended family with whom I've lost touch in recent years.

My wife and I had a little baby girl this past spring, and being a new parent really helps you appreciate the important role that family and friends play in your life. Life can get so busy, it's sometimes hard to keep in touch. So this year, I'll be making a greater effort to maintain those important relationships.
