I had a rough year in 09. I changed to high school, didn't fit in with any of the groups, had alot of stress, couldn't focus, I got depression alot, my dystonia got a bit worse, I became a junk food addict, got lazy and un fit, I've had a few issues at school, to much stuff to even mention. My new years resolution's are;

Medatate more (help cope with stress)

Try to think of positives

Do stretches and excercises (for my dystonia)

Eat more healthy food

Focus more on my learning, playing and techniques of guitar.

Join a band

Those are my NY resolution's, I hope to achieve them all by the end of next year, but my main one is the one thats underlined. My dystonia caused alot of my problems, eg deppression, stress, lazyness, lonleyness.

Go for it bro, best of luck!!

Riley,

I don't know you and we certainly are on other ends of the world, but I just want to tell you to keep playing and practicing and take your resolutions to heart. I know it seems tough sometimes. Everybody probably tells you that you have your whole life ahead of you, but they don't realize that you're struggling RIGHT NOW. Adulthood will provide you with a wealth of opportunities and experiences. Keep working hard, stay out of trouble and things will start to get better. I'm praying for you kid...

I hope to stick to a diet and lose some weight this year and to practice more on lead playing. On top of that spend more quality time with my kids.

This new-year I'm going to spend January media-free. No news, no internet, no talk radio, nothing. Other than online bill payment, banking and email I'm going dark for 31 days.

It's possible we could be playing some big festivals so I'll be concentrating on the band more than anything.

Here's hoping!

In twenty-ten I will try to:
1.) Loose a little weight, not much, but some of my shirts are getting a little tight.
2.) Get some more knowledge on music theory, especially Jazz-guitar (can anyone reccomend a good book?)
3.) Join a band.
4.) Have a good time (this one should be easy)

I will continue with my CEA bloodtests and
scans and hope to remain cancer free for the
second straight year!

Complete domination of the fretboard! lol I only been playing for a little over two years but I have advanced very fast and I now play lead for the band at my church. I spend everyday working on improv and soloing, and hopefully soon it'll all just flow and be like second nature to me. Happy New Year's to all of you, and I hope ya'll reach your resolutions as well.
