Hello...

Just a random question, but does anyone know why the bridge pickup is angled on Strats & Teles? I've been asking around at music stores & searched the net for over an hour. Any answers? Just curious.

To make the higher strings more trebley than the lower ones.

Leo and crew placed it an angle for the tonal range they were looking for.
The original Strats didn't have a tone control for the bridge pickup.
Just like the way they wound pickups,wind a few,listen and wind some more and listen till they got the sound they wanted.
They were experimenting alot in those days and it worked.

I found the thing about making the treble side closer to the bridge than the bass, but it was on the ultimate-guitar.com reviews and had a bunch of stuff about amplitude and things. Anyways, thank you. Now I know! 8)
