It is beautiful Rhumba if you stay out of the cities and tour the countryside. You can get lost in time and space down here in the bayous and backwaters!! See some amazing wildlife and flora!! Fewer humans too!!

Yeah right, I reckon you are in a good part of the world there. Hey man! is it around there were people zap about on those little boats, with the big fan-like arrangement fixed to 'em. That must be ripping fun. Wow!! yeah!!

Good mornin' all. It's a gray day here, but the Honeysuckle is bloomin' and I just filled Mrs. babalooga's bird feeders so the birds are in full song. Man it just don't get no better than that out here in the country. Hope everyone has a great day! BTW I've never seen such a polite, civil and freindly forum, I think I'm gonna like it here. :D
Cheers Randy

Sometimes, but mostly pirogues and bateaus. Florida has most of those air boats with the large fans on them so they can glide across the Everglades!!

The Everglades, yeah right, that's it, I was getting confused there. Anyway lets sit back and soak it all in, we don't see too much of this in Manchester, we are famous for our rain. Haha.
Feet up, cool beer. Nice! :D

Rhumba, I've always dreamed of seeing the "mother country" someday. I enjoyed the photo tour you gave us some time back. I guess there is always Google Earth. :)

Hi man, funny you should mention google earth. Just the other day my father, who is 88 now ( I think ) was round and well, he fought in the 2nd world war and was in the D-Day landings. Juno beach and has never actually been back there since.
So I fired up the google earth program and took him for a trip around, he recognised the names of the villages and all the military sector names are still there. Yes he had friends that didn't come back.
I left it with him and he was looking around for a couple of hours, lots of memories I guess.
Yeah, handy thing that google earth.
Well I reckon merry England as a lot going for it, I might be able to get back over to Liverpool this summer, get some more pics.
Anyway it's Sunday morning here now and it looks like it's going to be another good one.
So have another great time y'all. :D

Much as I moan and gripe about the place, theres nowhere I'd rather be.

Good afternoon from a very sunny UK.

Yo, captain. I lived in that area for a long time. I was in a band that played the Wind & Sea, very close by in the harbor. Looks like the bluesfest should be a gas! Have fun! :D

It's a nice morning here in Fort Worth. I have to work, but I will spank the strat when I return. :)

been to the wind & sea a few times years ago. my grandparents lived in san clemente for years.

the blues fest was a lot of fun.

It's going to be a hot one in Chicago today. Should be topping out at about 90. Find some shade today Solid Body Love Songs, ha ha. I got a long day of playing guitar and drinking some cold ones at a family birthday/ cook out.

Have a great day my fellow friends of the fender!
