Muff,The swollen pickle sounds like it had too much gain, I like a more Classic Rock sound. 8)

I thought the Muff was the dirtiest and fuzziest you can get, but that Swollen Pickle has furrier fuzz, makes the Muff look like a peach fuzz.

You need both, though I think it's all a question of the signal chain. If you run a swollen pickle into a big muff then things get very nice indeed...
