i know.... im asking because i have 8th grade graduation coming up (i.e. tons of $$$) and im gonna sell my dean so if i can get a loan from the first bank of Dad then i COULD have a Kurt signed guitar, work off any money i dont have... i think its fake though as he doesnt show any certificate (whoever buys that should be expecting some lame *ss "it got lost in the mail" excuse about that....) and gives very little background informatin

Be very careful Floyd as a good friend of mine on the web who has a 500K guitar collection told me close to 80% of autographed stuff on ebay are fakes. This guy knows what he is doing and got burnt though he did not care that much as it was the guitar he really wanted.

i know that why i have this pole... before i even think about spending a penny on that thing i want to know if its real... a big red flag for me is the lack of a certificate.... he says theres one but provides no picture... odd

On top of that good advice, even if they're not fake, without proper provenance they're not worth anything. It's easy to scribble on a guitar, so watch your cash.

looking at the ad, even if it is real, that's way too much money for it.

if youre talking about the magazine.... hell yeah... hes one of my biggest musical influences and favorite singer, but $3000 is way to much for a crappy magazine signed by him

You would have to get in contact with an expert to look at it. There's no way to tell. The guitar's date does help. You might be able to find out where the guitar was originally sold. Fender might actually have that information. That might give it some cred if it was signed in the same area (city) where it was purchased.

I'm deployed right now and I just got my little travel acoustic signed by the Zac Brown Band. They put on a show for us at Camp Striker (Liberty), Iraq. It was great show and they were very cool. Turns out they missed an awards show they were nominated in to be with us.
Robert Cray signed one of my Strats, but the signature looked nothing like the one that’s on his signature Strat. He was another guy that was very cool to meet.
If I tried to sell either of these guitars I'd have no proof that they signed it unless some expert looked at it and said, "Yup, that's them." Also having a picture of the artist holding the guitar does help.
The bottom line is: It’s as real as you believe it is.
