Full headlining sets on the main stage by Ozzy, Motley Crue, and Rob Halford. Only six shows announced, but one is 25 minutes from my house ... Sweet.

Admittedly a little pricey for high-grade seats by my frugal standards, but not too bad considering you do get the full set also from Crue and Halford, plus 10 other bands including Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society. Also – and this is pretty cool – there are no additional ticket fees on top of the ticket price of any kind, free parking, AND you get a free copy of Ozzy’s upcoming studio album. All in all, a fair deal really …

Only six shows? That seems odd. Do you think they'll add more. I'm starting to feel old because it must have been 15 years ago now when I saw them play at the Starlight Amphitheater right outside Pittsburgh when Tool sub-Headlined for Ozzy.

jeez, nikki sixx looks healthy. i really hope he's staying clean. i'm not a motley crue fan but i read his book and it was well, unnerving. it's amazing he is alive. i do enjoy his other band, sixx am. have fun

Crue is always very good live ... although I have seen them on occasion where Vince struggled with his voice (but not recently, though). Even Mick Mars who suffers from a debilitating back problem has been been showing more movement on stage in recent years ... as for his playing live, he has always been flawless and spot on. He is a great guitar player to watch ... superb use of trem.

I went Ozzfest 2005 and it was awesome. Iron Maiden was the best act. Ozzy's voice wasn't that good, but Rob Zombie and John 5 were great.

Also got to see Kill Switch Engaged for the first time.

Good times were had by all.
