As some of you may remember, I posted 2 weeks ago that I was taking my son to his first big concert, Bon Jovi, in Hershey, PA. We just got home and it was an awesome show! He wasn't a "huge Bon Jovi fan" in his words. He tried to bag going a few days ago, but changed his mind yesterday. Well can I tell ya, he is a fan now! He loved it! Charm City Devils and Fuel opened, bands that we both really like. By the the 3rd song of the Bon Jovi set his hands, feet and head were going strong! I definitely see more concerts in store for us this summer! Good Times! :D

Outstanding!

We took our daughter to her very first concert back in 1990 -- Poco, Firefall, with 38 Special as the headliner. She had a blast. Us too.

That's great :) I'm glad you both enjoyed it!

I am going to see them next month at the London O2 Arena and can't wait, they always put on an excellent show!

I think this will be the 6th or 7th time I have seen them :D

I knew you guys were going to have a ball, something he will tell his kids about one day. There is no price you can put on that!

They are only doing the O2 arena in London. That is counting for the whole of Europe I think!

They will be there next month and stopping in London for around 5-6 weeks I think (actually filling in the slot that Michael Jackson was supposed to be playing there).

O2 ticket prices are horrendous though! Bon Jovi say it is nothing to do with them, just the extra high prices the O2 charge!

I usually pay around £100 for two tickets which gets me into the "Gold Circle" (the small semi-circle in front of the stage), but at the O2, it's cost me £100 just for standard seated tickets about 1/3 of the way back.

It was going to cost me and my girlfriend around £1000 to get into the Gold Circle this time! Who can possibly justify paying that amount (particularly when you have a Custom Shop, Custom Deluxe Strat on order anyway  )?

Russ

OMG that ridiculous money, I guess I'll have to re-mortgage :)

It's a shame really that they have to do that - so many would love to see them but really cannot afford to do so, the world has gone money mad.

Thanks for coming back to me anyway Russ, really appreciate it x

No probs mate, I know what you mean. It's quite a journey for me too, I'd have much rather seen them more local.

This is the first time they have done it this way, and hopefully the last! I bet there are a lot of people that are going to have to miss out this time due to travelling and ticket prices etc!

So true Russ - I'd have to travel from just east of Swansea, so would mean staying up there also - so really it would be extortionate for me, but hey never mind, will look out for the next one x

Sorry Ellie, just realised you are possibly female? Only I was referring to you as 'mate'. I don't know why, I always just assume everyone on here is male :)
