Okay, I'm amp illiterate. What does this do?

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Sanpera1

I was thinking of getting a Peavey amp on sale at my local music store. I've read in a lot of places that the "sanpera pedal" is recommended but I don't understand why. Like I said, I'm not afraid to admit it, I'm amp illiterate.

Thanks.

It's a foot controller so you can change settings with your foot while playing instead of manually adjusting the amp. I see that it has an expression pedal too...nice to have with wah wah, pitch shift, modulation effects...especially with volume control and swells.

don't own a vypyr, but i have been looking at them. the sanpera makes it easy to operate, and change between the settings. you also get a free one now with certain models.

i played the amp, and its' a nice one

Looks like a great pedal and it is for a Peavey amp. Let us know how it works out.
