Is there a capo out there that doesn't make your strings go sharp when you put it on? I have a Kyser and it's okay as long as you don't try to put it on any higher than the third fret. And I kind of want to experiment with it a lot higher than that for some Gatemouth Brown/Albert Collins types of things.

My old old old guitar teacher had the capo of destiny, it stayed on the fret that you put it on in the first place very firm, it didn't make that irritating sound when you put it on. Mines just a $2 crapbox.

hey neighbor, i really don't know. i just move mine around on the fret till it gets right. it's frustrating but tolerable. i love playing with a capo. mine is cheap but it works if i just move it around a little. interested to hear the experts advice on this one.

The G7th 405 Capo has adjustable tension so you can set the amount of pressure it pushes on the strings, so it won't make your strings sharp once adjusted. I'd also suggest the Creative Strings SpiderCapo, it's freaking sweet. ^^

I use a Dunlop Capo. Anywhere above the 9th fret goes a little sharp, but IMO you should not need to use a capo above that fret. To be honest with you, I only use a capo to check/adjust the neck relief anyways.

The eighth fret is the highest I go (and that's only for one song that I play at home, not live). It's just kind of frustrating to have retune it every time I put the capo on or take it off, and when I am playing with it live there's no time for that.
