I heard one major clam at 0:50, but overall thought it was okay. Did you notice his use of the two mic'd Fender Pro Juniors on top of the larger Fender cab?

Those Pro Jrs are great sounding amps! 8)

Here's the way it should have sounded...and again...the hair dye???

Before anyone knocks that performance lets hear em do better with just a strat and a amp.

The one thing about Beck's style of play is that no two performances/renditions are going to be the same. That was as close to the album recording (which was cut by about 15minutes apparently) as were going to hear.

Gosh - I'll say loud and clear I can't do better, or half as well. No shadow of a doubt about that!

I think the only reason any of us noticed is because of his own reaction at the end - he was signalling to us all; "Yes, I know..."

Seemed to me something went wrong at about 1.36, and I have a feeling he just wasn't articulating the notes quite the way he wanted in other spots too.

For the record, I have mixed feelings about his wammy style in general, but I just loved the little passage picked out on vibrato alone at 2.39. I happily admit to trying that a few times in the last couple of days and equally happily admit to failing miserably!

Cheers - C
