Both. I used to prefer Rosewood; however, I have a new appreciation for maple.

Ginger?
or Maryanne?

I like brunettes, but I think Ginger with birdseye freckles only looks good on a Fender guitar. period.

I think it depends on the color of the guitar. A black strat with a perloid pickguard, black pickup covers, knobs, and switch tip and a very light colored curly maple neck looks absolutely beautiful. A white strat with white pickguard, white pickups covers, knobs, and switch and a rosewood finger board is equally impressive.

Now I'm just giving myself GAS. I don't have either of these. Guess I have to sell some stuff and look into getting myself a couple of new guitars. Thanks alot for bringing this topic up.

:D

Too Easy

Maple or Rosewood? BOTH
Ginger or Maryanne? BOTH (and Mrs. Howell too if I'm feeling "randy")
Pancakes or Waffles? BOTH

Life is too damned short to limit yourself. One time through only kiddies, make the most of it.

Well, do you mean Bolivian Rosewood or ? :P

With rosewood, you're hearing string against wood. With maple, it's string against finish, at least while the finish is there.

But not everybody has been around for that long.

Any way--
Rosewood, or ebony.

I prefer the feel of unfinished wood on my fingerboard.
When I bought my Mustang I had the choice of rosewood or maple--and rosewood was an immediate choice.

But hey--play maple if you prefer it--or play both.
I like variety.

I don't want us all sounding & looking the same.
