From time to time we get posts about trades...so here is a question have you ever traded some gear for something other than musical gear?

There was an add on kijiji.com today for someone looking to trade a tattoo for a guitar...I am actually considering this one.

Years ago. Guy had a cool wide brim suede hat (this was back in the late 60s when they were in) that I wanted. Thing is, he wanted more cash than I had so I asked him if he'd take $25, a WWII era field jacket and a Gibson student model guitar. He didn't want the jacket, so we made it $40 and the guitar and I had the hat.

Right now there's a guy who wants to trade me my twin reverb reissue for $250 and a 56" DLP HDTV, but I'm going to pass on that. The TV is going to lose value much more than the amp. And I already have a 73" DLP tv.

Other than that, I think it's always been gear for gear.

bbrodie there was just a guy on the gear page who had a guitar for sale and said cash only no trades unless it was for some photography stuff.

nicholsoni that is one I have also seen before.

I've traded many guitars and amps for money. I was always the one parting with the cash, though... :lol:

i MIGHT trade my gibson studio for a .308 on an AR platform. other than that, nope.
