Yesterday for the first time i wrote a song while playing my guitar. I have written several lyrics for songs but am not good enough on the guitar yet to make them come out like what is in my head. But yesterday i started strumming this chord progression that I have been playing with and then out came a line or two and then next thing you know (like 2 hours later)...

VOILA!!! a song of my own. I am pretty proud, probably more than I should since I think I have a lot better songs lyrically, but any way. No one can ever take it away.

peace

Awesome. I wish I could write lyrics, I can only imagine it's as satisfying (if not more satisfying) that nailing that solo by your favourite guitarist or learning a new technique.

Keep at it. :D

Hey, I can join the first song group! I've been playing for over two years, and I just now came up with a full song. I even wrote it for someone, but they don't know it, cause they don't know me... :? 8) Long story...

I've never atempted to write my own song. I don't think i'm very lyricly gifted...
Kudos to those of you who do, weather the song is awesome or aweful...

I know that feeling. It gets even better when you go into the studio and record it and watch it grow into something more the you dreamed it would be!!!
