I'm sure we've all gotten the option (pressure) to purchase the Guitar Center "Pro Coverage" plan.
Basically, if an instrument already has a Lifetime/Limited Lifetime warranty, then the Pro Coverage plan will cover the instrument up to a maximum of 10 years, and includes coverage that the factory warranty doesn't cover (unlimited repairs, free shipping/packaging, commercial use coverage, normal wear and tear that renders in unplayable).

I just bought a Fender USA select, and I am considering coverage ($129 for 10 yrs).
I guess I am asking: As Fender owners, do y'all even foresee yourselves having to take advantage of the "benefits" outlined in the terms? http://gc.guitarcenter.com/financing/guarantee/benefits.cfm (Is it worth the $129?)
I tour, and plan on keeping this one for life...

Not worth it in my opinion... Most of the aftermarket waranties are just cash grabs. Fender stands behind their product and as long as you take reasonably good care of your instrument and service it regularly you should not need it. If you're touring with it keep it in a good hardshell case in conditioned space if possible... not baking in the back of a trailer or under the bus...

Right on, everyone, thanks!
I was feeling the same sentiment about Guitar Center and their "deals".
I guess I will use that $129 for a fender skb TSA case after all.
