I really look forward to the sat nite gig. This past sat nite we traveled 80 miles to play at a really nice biker bar in Iowa. I had grand illusions of party hard, lots of burnouts, drinking, some partial nudity, biker chicks, and the total gambit. Little did we know that the same weekend, there was a major biker rally/festival only 40 miles furthur away the bar owners didn't tell us about. So in a bar that holds 200 people, there were less than 20 people there all night. There were power issues also for some reason. On our power conditioner in the pa rack, it was only showing almost 1/2 power available, and my Fender DeVille seemed to be lacking in the tones I can usually get. Then at the end of the night, the bar tried to pay us by check, which was not in the contract, so we argued about that until they finally paid us cash. I think it's safe to say we won't be going back there anytime soon.

Your better off to approach the bikers to see if they want your band at their meet's, rather than the bar owners. The bikers will then get you in the door and pay you.
