Carlos has a lot to teach us with his taste and style. He can knock off a fast run, but knows how to really say a lot with a single sustained note.

If you hear the sound of his guitar coming at you, you don't need anyone else to tell you who it is. You know it's Santana... :D

A fan, yes...but not a big one.
Loved the performance at Woodstock and some of his early stuff like "Black Magic Woman" and "Oye Como Va" bring back some great memories.

Bobster, you nailed it. You know it's Carlos within a bar! True I only have one Santana album, but he has my utmost respect. One of the guys who changed the sound of Rock!

I am a fan of his but I am really waiting for some new music. He relies on his old stuff so much that I have heard it all before. He really needs new fresh material with new artists, similar to the Supernatural concept.

Santana is great, very emotional music. I met my first girl dancing on one of his songs.

I think Carlos Santana is a very good guitarist, I like him a lot. The thing is that there are a lot of very good guitarist around, known and unknown, so to say I am a Santana fan is a bit much.

Major Santana fan here. He was one of the biggest influences on my favorite guitarist Sergio Vallin and a big influence on one of my guitar mentors. That latin Blues fusion vibe is the sound that I am going for in my playing.

Big fan!

One of the first LP's I owned, abraxas, and now have shaman.

Latin beat is great, tone is great, he sings with his guitar.

Huge Santana fan, to be honest I am kind of shocked at some of the responses. Also hands down one of the greatest tones ever, one note and you know who it is.

Love his playing. Never switch the radio station when he comes on, but never bought a CD for some reason.

Love his guitar music. I especially liked the song 'Smooth' (I think he riffed a little in the background).

Carlos Santana is one helluva guitarist and musician. I like the way he works the guitar. Not familiar with most of his songs but a couple that I really like is his collaborations with Michelle Branch and The Calling.
