Hey Fenderstrat1963... I have a sidekick as well... can be seen in the first picture on page 2 .........Question....you would not hppen to have an owners manual for it would you???????

Cheers
Bill

Hi Bill. Yes I did see that - I was surprised to see another one :) I don't have a manual although I did hunt around for one a while back. The fender site can provide a pdf file for the Sidekick 25 reverb, but not the 30, which is the one I have.

The only other site I've seen that might have one is a pay site. But since the subject has come up I think I'll pay the $7.50 and have a go.

fenderstrat1963....thanx for the heads up and the link... just sent Fender an email asking for a PDF copy...I have the sidekick 25 reverb and it was on their list of available PDF files as you said… I have had that amp for 20 something years and its still around which is more than I can say about a lot of my past gear…. I own a bunch of Amps and even know I have some real nice stacks as well that little Fender still gets used a whole bunch… Its one of the better Solid State amps I have owned and I don’t see myself getting rid of it any time soon….

Thanx again and Rock on

Cheers
Bill

Glad to hear it mate :)

Tell me... If you sit on the floor in front of the Mesa is the effect like that scene near the start of Back To The Future with Michael J. Fox and his guitar? :D

an insane collection Bro! and the rest of you Bros and Sisters are following in Arjay's footsteps
I don't have any pics still waiting for the video from the last gig back in January, but it is modest, I sold off my gear collection 20 years ago, but am moving in that direction again slowly :D

Thanks, SBLS!

I just picked up a cherry '68 Bronco a couple of days ago. It'll be here any day now.

I don’t know that it would knock you through the wall like in the movie but at 50% it knocks painting and clocks off the wall on the other side of the house. Nick knacks on any shelf are not safe nor are the windows in the Jam room unless I have the plexi glass baffle in front of it….this is simply the loudest amp I have ever played…Makes My Marshall stacks seem tame by comparison.
My signature Block below says it all..

Cheers
Bill

Here's one setup I use at home when everybody's out:

1967 Moody BA-17 Amplifier — as I've said before, it's the miniature 'Aussie Bassman'...

That glowing retro-futuristic box is the Dynacord Echocord Mini, a tape echo unit I bought for next to nothing and then had refurbished. The slider on the front controls the speed of the repeats, like an Echoplex.

On top of the Echocord is a mint Shin-Ei AF-17 'anti-feedback' (er... graphic equaliser...) unit. I don't know where it's been since the '70s – probably in a time capsule. It makes a huge difference to the sound; I don't know why I've never looked into an EQ before.

I like the idea that this is a setup that some reasonably progressive guitarist might have had around the time of my birth (early '70s)... that's how far behind the times I am... heh. I also like that Chevrolet-style Moody badge.
