well mr. cherokee, i have to say i've had the pleasure of playing a vintage strat through a bassman at a music store. very, very sweet. the store owner had recently got them in as a set... but i couldn't afford it.

i just traded my vox AD60VT for a hot rod deluxe... now that's what my tele and my strat are supposed to sound like. my guitars and me are very happy.
still working on dialing it in. not quite there yet, but i'm gettin' close. 8)

I need to get some pictures organised...

Mainly about the house I use a 5-Watt Swart Spacetone 6v6se... like an old Champ, I guess. There's a NOS RCA 12AX7 in there, and an... OOS Radiotron 6V6. Dunno if you could call those "modifications".

When I'm not using that, I play through a 17-Watt Moody BA-17. It's the Aussie equivalent of a Bassman, from 1967. It does blues distortion and nothing else, but it doesn't need to.

Just recently I scored a Dynacord Eminent II P.A. amp for $150... looks to be in very good shape, just need to get it checked over before I plug it in and fire it up. Judging by the codes on the Telefunken and Philips EL34s within, it's from 1973. I want to see if I can take the output of the Swart as my dirty channel and use one of the other three channels on the Dynacord for cleans. This unit was originally designed to complement the Dynacord Echocord Mini tape echo, an example of which I found last year for $70 and spent a bit fixing up. Guess I'll be on the lookout for speakers soon...

Fender Pro Jr amp chassis mounted in a cut down (I got it that way with a 15") old Fender bassman cab from the 70's with 2x12's. 15 watts of EL84 tube power absolutely rocks through 2x12's (Marslands) The cabinets back has been opened up some for open back concept and tube cooling. Side handles complete the picture. Mod?

I put in a hidden lift switch for the feedback loop...... qualifies as a Mod.

SCXD for gigs and a Traynor YCV50 Blue at rehearsal. I also have a 100-watt Marshall Valvestate half stack that might be going up for sale. And I have a Princeton Chorus (red knob) that I use at home when playing in the basement. When I practice at home in my computer room I have a Vox T-15 Bass amp that doesn't sound too bad with guitar.

Most of the time, lately, it's been the bought-4-years-ago-used Cyber-Twin, variously on the '59 Bassman, '65 Deluxe Reverb and '93 Vibro King settings.

'Be likin' that Cyber-Twin.

I have a Fender Sidekick Reverb 30 that I bought in the mid '80s. It's not modified and it'll do nicely until the budget improves.

For guitar I have a Super 210 and a new Band Master VM with the 2 X 12. On the small end, I have an SCXD and an old (circa 1987) Champ -- those two are for when friends drop by the condo to jam.

(Sometimes I'm nice and let them use the SCXD, but truth be told, the old Champ has a nice aged sound too.)

For bass, I have a Bassman 135 (tube) and 2 X 15 cab and a Bassman 210/250. I just recently got an Acoustic B20 to go along with the SCXD and the Champ because I tend to switch off between guitar and bass a lot.

None are modified

Hi Bill. Yes I did see that - I was surprised to see another one :) I don't have a manual although I did hunt around for one a while back. The fender site can provide a pdf file for the Sidekick 25 reverb, but not the 30, which is the one I have.

The only other site I've seen that might have one is a pay site. But since the subject has come up I think I'll pay the $7.50 and have a go.
