Hi,

I have a 1994 American Std. It is not one of the limited run of 1,954 but one of the regular 1994 models with all of the anniversary logos (headstock badge and neck plate). My question is: do these regular 1994 models include the 1954 pickup style like the limited version? Also are there any other aspects of this guitar that make it like the 1954?

Thanks,
Dan

I don't think it has any of the 1954 specs. Just like my 50th anniversary American Standard, it has modern features. You can see the difference on Ebay right now. There were some with the 1954 features, but the American Standards did not get the treatment.

I am fine with my 2004, just the way it is. The bridge pick-up is strong and has plenty of cut. Plus, it has the Delta Tone circuit that cuts off the tone control when it is on "10" and gives a straight signal.

I also like having the "2004/50th " neck plate that makes dating the instrument a non-issue. :)
