I absolutely love Cat steven's music. Some people think that he just weirded out, and became some kind of religious freak. I recently saw an excellent documentary about his life, and at the time he began studying the islamic beliefs, he was working so hard on his musical career, his doctor told him he was literally two weeks from death if he kept up at the pace he was keeping. He took heed to his doctors warnings, and got some much needed rest, and during this time, He came to be exposed to the koran. upon studying in the book, he began to discover certain passages in the koran that were surprisingly similar to the bible. Today, he is more busy than he ever was, doing a lot of work for organization that is doing huge amounts of good for the poor. He auctioned off all of his equipment, and gave all the profits to that cause. I don't subscribe to his religion, but my hats off to him, as he devotes all his time helping others.
