Hey Detective, I am one of the Bad guy's i have to admit that I have put a Link to my Website, but honestly first off all I don't think that this is kind of criminal and we need a kind of detective here :D
And secondly i am honestly interrested in guitarrs, so who cares. I personaly own an accoustic guitar made by Sanchez in Spain. And i had Guitar lessons fore arround to years now. I want to learn e guitar now and a lot of my friends recomended me to buy a fender one. So I thought why don't just check out this forrum. I am from Southwest Germany and I love tha fact that this is so international here and if i have the chance to plase my website why in the hell shouldn't i do that?
I don't want to offend nobody but that is not the way i welcome new mebers :D

Herzlich willkommen, Eric90! Keine Sorge, Mensch. Tanner1994's words do not refer to you. Including a link to your website on your profile is perfectly okay. But many new members have started completely new discussion threads for the sole purpose of promoting a product.

Anyone who comes here to talk about guitars--and you clearly are--will be embraced. So please don't be offended. Welcome and enjoy! 8)

if you come here to talk about guitar this thread isnt for you, you are welcome here with open arms. but it is against the rules to advertise on the forums. and people nowdays seem to make new accounts just to do that such thing, advertise on here against the rules.

people are making accounts JUST so they can post there website and nothing more. most of these websites are for buying things and many of them carry viruses.

well, maybe like eric90 i felt i was being looped into the 'bad guy" category just because i (or we i guess) have our www button active.
i'm a member on the classic mustang forum as well and the moderator there is very careful about letting the "riff-raff" in. they usually get spotted, canned and banned within a post or two.
i see your point. brad's probably scoping them all out right now ;)

Tanner, why not just ignore them? You don't have to respond to the posts and you don't have to visit the site. Most people here are not professional musicians but are professional working people. Fender asks if you have a site and invites you to list the link. I doesn't say it needs to be music related.
As far as viruses go, you can get a virus from any site it's the chance you take when you visit a site.

It's more annoying to me to see posts where the only intention is to start an argument and then go into personal attacks.

I see there is somebody comming from Germany aswell, Schön dich zu sehen !!!.
I have a question to you guy's, is anyone playing electric quitarr here and cane reffere good learning material. I used to have guitar lessons on accoustic quitar but my dream was always to play a electric one like a jazz musican ore rockstar. I heared that fedner is one of the best brands, but what is a good company to start with and how long does it take to actualy learn electric quitar.
PS: I hope i posted in the wrong spot

berkley press, a modern method for guitar, by william leavitt. still in print and still as good as it gets since first hitting the shelves in 1966.

look at this shitt!

every one on this page is new and says nothing directly about guitars themselves and what they know about them, they just say random gabage that makes them look like they know something. guess what? they all have websites selling something under their info page!

http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... hp?t=38752

its like they make topics so they can all post under them to get there "product" out there!
