Chet is indeed a great guy. We had lunch together a while back and I'm looking forward to meeting up with him again soon!

WOW Chet, you rock! My hats off to you man! It's great to see a great guy get well deserved respect from quite a few folks! Since the V-picks are getting mentioned in some of the messages in this thread, I just gotta jump in and gush about these awesome picks! I saw some posts on here a couple of months ago about these V-picks, and i new right away from what guys were saying, that i had to have some! I ordered the fab four pack which comes with 1 medium rounded corners, on large rounded, one freakishly large rounded, and a small pointed which i learned would be good for jazz, and those who need a sharper bite on their strings. I chose the fab four package deal because in one of the videos at the website, Vinny was talking about how he preferred the round corners, and the fact that there are three rounded corner picks in that package of four picks, says something to me. Now, i'd heard that these picks take some getting used to, but when I tried the large rounded, I loved it right off! After that experience, I immediately ordered the acoustic package, which has a standard acoustic, a medium lite pointed, and a large lite pointed. The lites are thinner, providing some flex. Hey all, let me get my thumbs up in here with all the others! These picks will change your playing dramatically! I can't wait to try some more of the many models that are available. They have mandolin, and bass picks too! Guys, Ladies, check out the V-picks website, there's a lot of solid information and pictures of the many models to choose from!

That Mr Chet Feathers, what a absolute top bloke.

A couple of weeks back I was looking to buy a Bill Lawrence QFilter. I use my tone controls a lot. Anyway Monsieur Feathers contacted me, said he had one and that he'll post it to me. He absolutely refused any payment of any kind. And he also included some Vpicks.

Well I can tell you I was quite skeptical about the claims made of Vpick performance. I never drop plectrums. I lose them, I melt them, I find em under scratchplates and in pickup cavities. I never ever drop em though, so the better grip is not a issue I casn comment on. The tone however is, the attack and presence difference is absolutely unreal. Whether that is to do with the material their made of or the size of the things giving more confidence and control, I dont know. The difference in sound is very very real. I've even compared my old faithfull brass plectrum that I've had for years and never found anything better than. Well it's not top dog anymore.

The Qfilter is a thing of wonder too. it took all of a minute and a half to wire. My guitar actually has a tone control now, not just a treble reduction pot. It actualy changes the tone of the guitar rather than just giving a overly bassy sound. Even with the pot on zero its clear and defined. The tone pot responds smoothly too. I put it in my Baja Tele, even the out of phase sounds on that guitar are valid usable good sounds now. You can just temper the treble enough to make em sound different but valid and usable.

What about our Chet eh, what a guy. What an absolute 24carrat gold, diamond geezer.

Cheers Chet, your a top bloke.

great story Niki, and I second that emotion for Chet, he is tops in my book as well.

Mr Feathers turned me on to V picks some time ago, I will always be grateful for that. And you're right Nik, he is a diamond geezer. One of a handful of posters here that I take notice of, rock on Chet 8)

Chet was the first one that I had communicated with back in 2007 and he remains one of my "seasoned veteran" friends on this fine community!

Everything Chet says has wisdom and knowledge and temperance behind it. Often, courage and humility seep through as well. Whoever said it about him, nailed it...
