My nephew is a guitar enthusiast. He is playing for the last three years between 10 to 20 hours every week. He is quite good now. He is playing a lot of music of the 70 like Jimmy Hendrix, Santana, Led Zeppelin and others. I am browsing this forum to see if there anything that could be of interest to him.

Welcome.

Well, he's a guitar enthusiast so surely there will be something here for him. Have him join up too and he can bring up anything which may be of interest to him where guaranteed, others will share some of the same interests. I'm also happy to report that this isn't the type of site where all sorts of pettiness abound. Rather, we're all in this together where we police ourselves and pride ourselves on the fact there is something for everyone here from rank amateur to seasoned professional and everything in between. As a matter of fact, why don't you take up guitar and/or bass and become a part of the family too?

+1 on what Martian said. This place is for everyone who loves guitar and I'm also proud to be part of such a wonderful forum.

I will surely transmit your invitation to my nephew Mathew. As for me playing guitar, I would love to but there is an investment of time needed. My first objective will be to try Guitar Hero. If I can make it, then anything is possible.

I could not have put any better than Martian has. I drop in on about 5 other forums weekly but 85% of my time is here. No other forum even comes close to the community we share here, and as Martian stated we police ourselves for the whole part (Which makes things easy for Brad)and in the time I have been here I cant even recall someone getting booted, which is a common occurrence on other forums as we have a very mature and respectful forum. So have your nephew join as a lot of the music he seems to like was played on Fenders.

whatever you do DONT try to get good at guitar hero so the real thing will be easier.... its nothing like actual guitar and in my opinion playing that makes the real thing harder

Apparently the next Rock Band will be closer to the real thing according to Mr. Harrison Image
