There's no comparison, indeed. Congrats on this great purchase, Jeff.

Sorry about your friend's leg, though. Diabetes?

Beautiful guitar Jeffo, enjoy her. I can't help feel bad for your buddy, a fellow diabetic wishes him well for the future.

That looks absulutely stunning, congrats. mexican fenders are awesome guitars for the money but as everyone says, once you've played a US made strat there's no turning back. Hope your friend is doing ok and best of luck to him.

Glad to hear that your friend is doing better (I too know a few few people with diabetes ... nasty stuff).

You got a very nice guitar and I'm sure you'll be enjoying it for a long time. One quick question: do have have to drop the MIM? It would make a great backup and be on hand if friends drop by to jam. They're by no means low grade/starter guitars, so it could be useful if you could keep it.

You might also explore alternate tunings and/or slide if you have a second guitar handy. It could pay off if you can do it.

Jeffo: Fabulous guitar, a real beauty for sure. But -- and I am not calling you out on this -- I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I read the "there's no comparison to my MIM" comment. Weren't you one of the biggest MIM proponents often stating the differences between MIM and MIA were almost negligible? Sorry -- I am not intending to be a jerk, really ... just keepin' it real. Or is my memory a bit of what is faulty here ... ?

Fair enough, Jeffo. I am not here to rain on your parade. Spectacular guitar, dude. Really nice ... And I sincerely wish the best for your friend. Diabetes can be very rough.
