Since we are dreaming, I would get the holy grail of collectables....1958 Gibson Moderne

Since everyone else has eliminated Hitler, prevented 9/11, war and all of these altruistic things. I will just take it easy and go to Woodstock.

Elie Wiesel said it best: "For the dead and the living, we must bear witness".

Back to topic: I'd do 2 things.
1) go watch every Hendrix performance
2) buy real estate in New York City

GET RID OF HITLER, especially because both my parents' families were killed either in Lodz Ghetto or the gas chamber. Both my parents(RIP) spent time in Lodz Ghetto and Auschwitz;
After Auschwitz, my father was in Gleiwitz, Gross-Rosen, Althammer, Blechhammer, and finally Dachau before ending up in Landsberg DisplAced Persons Camp.
After Auschwitz, my mother was in Stutthof and Bergen-Belsen (same camp as Anne Frank) and then Landsberg, which is where they first met.

Hi mclmk8d: departing for a minute from the light-hearted spirit of this thread - I'm very moved by what you've written here.

I have a tiny bit of family history on that from a completely different angle: my maternal grandfather was a film cameraman in a newsreel unit attached to (I believe I have this right) the British 11th Armoured Division which liberated Belsen in 1945. Some of the film record of that atrocity was his.

The phrase; "We must never forget", is crucial.

I would meet James Madison or Thomas Jefferson two of Americas Greatest Men!
