The Grand Ole' Opry, Nashville Symphony Center, and Gibson guitar factory. No real info on the Gibson factory.

apparently Gibson has sent notices saying they won't be shipping any new stock for at least 90 days. Not sure if the equipment is ruined, but they sday water did hit the factory.

I think the average guy just lost any chance at owning vintage gear. thousands of guitars have been destroyed, the pro's are going to snap up anything on the market. mark this and remember the upcoming big price jump.

Question what do they make in Nashville? I know Baldwin is there and some offices. There big place where they give factory tours is in Memphis downtown on Lee Avenue.

mostly the 'historics', and iirc a lot of the high end/custom shop stuff.

really the biggest hit gear wise in the flood is Soundcheck, and other places like it. but mostly Soundcheck. it flooded to the roof. Keith urban, Brad Paisley Peter Frampton and a score of others lost a ton of gear.

Yes the Gibson Nashville Plant is flooded. There is some product lost and production will be delayed for at least 2 weeks. There was not the amount of product lost as suggested, but we will know more in several days.

We are optimistic about getting back to producing and making up the shortfall. We have truly great people here.

Custom division, Epiphone, Montana and several other divisions were not impacted.

I left a post on the Les Paul Forum in reply to your link.

The Nashville USA (i.e. Les Paul plant) is under 3 feet of water. We expect that we will have a minimum of two weeks of shut down, but will not be able to access the damage until the water recedes.

The water has crested and is expected to start receding today.

We will be back stronger than ever, but it will be challenging for several weeks.

Our main concern is the Gibson families who experienced personal losses. So far 30 families are known to have devastating personal losses. We will try to help them get back to normal. Good news is that there is no loss of life or serious injury that we know of.
Thank you for you kind thoughts.

Best

Henry"
