We have 3 cats now. 2 we rescued from the Humane Society. The 3rd, well, the 3rd adopted us. He kept coming around to the house, and we was a kitten, and we felt sorry for him... and we fed him. Poor thing. He was sweet, but he kept showing up beaten up. We live in a rural area, so we figured he kept getting into fights with another animal. Recently, he showed up REALLY beaten up, a chunk of hair and skin was missing from his neck. He was in trouble. So we brought him into the house, and tried to nurse him back, but the wound was bad, and would stop bleeding, but then start again after a few hours, and he kept scratching it. So we took him to the humane society, told them it was a stray, but if they helped us fix him up, we'd officially adopt him. They took one look at him and said he was in no fight, he's got ear mites really bad!! They said the mites were so bad, he was scratching them like crazy, and this was causing the wounds we had been noticing over the past few months!!!! Well, OK, if you say so, but it seemed incredible! So, they took him for a couple days, they even neutered him for us, and when we came to pick him up,they said that his left ear was so FULL of mites, that he had been deaf in that ear!!! But he was OK now, and fixed. We brought him home... He was always a sweet cat before, lovely disposition, but he was a male cat and always on he prowl, not fixed, temporarily deaf in one ear so we found out, and ear mites so bad it was clearly driving him insane. So, as nice as he was before... now that he was cleaned up, and no longer on the prowl, and had his hearing back, well...!!! He is the NICEST cat in the WORLD! Always purring, and chasing after us like a dog, like he really knows what we did for him! He is SO HAPPY, and its been 2 month now since we fixed him up. His wound is completely cleared up, and his coat has actually become very shiny all over. The sweetest animal. As nice as he was before, now he is a total sweetheart. So from a stray that wasn't in great shape, to the sweetest animal, and he really doesn't want t go out much,he just likes to stay in the house. Cheers!!!

This is Randel The Cat

Image

Also known as "Randalf the Grey" :D

He likes Fish, Jimi Hendrix and de-populating the wee frivolous beasties in my garden. He's also slowly taking over my thread in the strat forum!

Cats, you got to love'um (i'd hate to think what he'd do to me if i didn't)

Enjoy!

Andy
