well the spec i wanted was a a guitar with a tremolo system with humbuckers at the neck and bridge. Both fit this.
I love teles but I also like the PRS.
Is it it time for change or stick to what you know~?
Also there seems to be quite a few PRS fans on here as well as Fender, hence asking on here.
Thanks for everyone's input so far :)

All guitars are best and the comfortability depends on the person that what kind of instrument he prefers...

If your a shred head, then the triple tele is the one.

I would rather buy the squier model myself...

The J5 Teles are cool and different. They are designed to sound brilliant under loads of gain, and also clean too :) I say, be different :)

eccentric0, Play one of these try this neck for playability, shape/surface fretwork, if possible and hopefully it will help.

Ah, yes, Birmingham was in the UK, last time I looked. Well, the original one, anyhow. :D

And that MySpace page now makes sense of why you are interested in the John5 Tele. Though personally I'd sooner have your Jim Root one than his. So now I can safely say: go for the PRS...

Rock on, man - C

I've never played the J5 Tele before so I can't tell you how it sounds but I have played the PRS SE 24 and it sounds a bit thin to me unlike the SE Singlecut which I love... but if you're looking for a guitar with dual humbuckers and a tremelo I'd suggest looking at the Classic Player Tele Deluxe with tremelo. I've played the Deluxe and love the sound/tone I can get out of it.

That's just my 2 cents, but yeah I agree with everyone who says try them out. It's the only way you'll know for sure and I should know because I've been testing out many guitars over a year and half and still can't decide, juist hope it doesn't take you that long lol

Yeah, along those lines, do you have $1300 to swing one of these? This would be a better bet than either of those, IMO ...

well there's 2 problems.
1. Theres no tremolo system.
2. I already have a Les Paul.
