A nice piece on the Lead Guitarist for the BBC as part of their "In a Rock 'n' Roll Band" series.

The BBC info.....

"A no-holds-barred look at the talents and foibles of the eternal hero of rock 'n' roll, the guitarist. Windmilling and kerranging from a huge cast of strummers and twangers including Slash, Jeff Beck, Johnny Marr, Pete Townshend, Mick Jones of the Clash, Status Quo and Matt Bellamy of Muse."

and a nice bit with Tony Iommi.

Check it out!

Enjoy!

Hi Andy: I stand to be corrected, but I have a nasty idea folks outside the UK are blocked from viewing the BBC iPlayer.

It used to be available free to everyone worldwide - and then certain sullen political voices (who I tactfully won't identify) got resentful about the idea that people who don't pay for the BBC should benefit from its content. The same people who are always heard objecting to the license fee in general... In the end the compromise was that overseas users were to be blocked from sound and pictures. I believe that has come into force now.

Just mentioning it in case there are confused people wondering why they can't access your link... :(

Annoying, huh?

Cheers - C

Well, assuming I've got it right, that is. We'll only know for sure when others tell us if they can view the iPlayer through your link or not.

Frustrating though, in't it? Cos we seem to have quite a lot of good guitar centered programming on the Beeb at present, don't we? Which it would be nice to share.

The solution is to find the content on YouTube. The BBC went through a long and bitter battle over licensing arrangements with YouTube - but that is long since sorted now. So for instance, you can usually find items from Jools Holland's show up on YouTube within hours of it going out on the telly where we live...

Cheers - C

Your spot on regarding Youtube. Found this liitle clip with Matt Bellamy from the series in question. I'm sure they'll be more soon.

No prob, thanks.
I've seen some amazing music shows made by the BBC, too bad they're not releasing them on dvd.
