Nevin thanks for the clips. I have seen Spinal Tap atleast 15 times so I know the dialogue by heart, by the way that whole scene was 90% improvised as was most of the movie. Christopher Guest based the Nigel character on Jeff Beck.

What is also a coincedent is that the original Fender Bass VI is in the latest issue of Guitar Aficionado with Jeff Bridges on the cover. A few of the guitars in that scene were borrowed from Normann's Rare Guitars in California as Chris is friends with the owner and told him about the movie he was doing and would he liked to be involved. Because of how famous that seen is that 66 Bass VI just sold this February for $40,000.

I do not know who was the first to post the guy Phil X on here but I really like the guy as he always seems to be at a party all by himself besides being a hell of a player. The guy is in a band with his Pinup Doll looking wife called Powder which is very popish and another called the Drills. He has some serious session work under his belt recording on albums by Alice Cooper, Tommy Lee, Daughtry, Rob Zombie, Orianthi, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Cornell, Our Lady Peace and Avril Lavigne to name a few. Plus he gets to wail on all that vintage gear. I would say life is good.lol

Yeah, thinking about it, I can see why he's not to everyones taste.
