Yeah entertaining stuff, unusual tone for sure. Ive dug out a vinyl copy of "friday night in San Francisco" i had lurking in the house (1980)

Will give it a spin again soon.

Some of the U tube stuff reminds me a bit of Carlos Santana, someone i believe he played with in the 70,s.

Check John McLaughlin with The Mahavishnu Orchestra. I saw them in 1973 and it's still to this day some of the best Fusion stuff I've ever heard.

Nice to see you posting lite, hope all is good. Well I know your age and it is cool to start stumbling onto players you dont know much about of which there will be many. What is there to say about John McLaughlin except in the world of guitar playing he is a God. The only other thing is if you dig his style which is very fusion based. One of the fastest players you will ever find.
