It can't really be said that digital pedals are worse than analog pedals. Both have their place — at the risk of stating the obvious, it's all about the sound you're intending to produce. Many digital effects are just as "analog" sounding as the vintage effects they're emulating. The analog sound is usually described as "warm" ; the signal passing through is degraded in ways which have come to be loved by many. In a delay, successive repeats tend to lose their top end, becoming more muffled as they fade out. Digital delays give faithful reproductions of the source tone, so any natural-sounding degradation has to be put back intentionally. A Tone control for the repeats and perhaps another for Modulation (to mimic a tape echo's "warble") will do the trick.

Guitarists who like tones associated with older music often insist on keeping everything analog, working on the principle that it's easiest to recreate the sounds of an era if the same tools are used. That can be a pretty expensive path to go down these days, and it's an effort that will largely go unnoticed by an audience.

As for your two effects devices... the DigiTech is a multi-effects/amp modelling device with a bajillion options and presets, while the Crybaby is... er...a Crybaby, with some added wah-related settings. If you're after a wah pedal with some added bells and whistles, the Crybaby is the one to pick. If you're after something other than wah, go for the DigiTech. If you know you want a multi-effects unit, best to throw the question of what you should get for your budget open to players who have experience in that area — I'm one of those old-school analog guys with too many oversized boxes, only one or two of which ever get used together at any given time.. heh. :)
