If I am looking for that alternative rock sound over the whole classic hardcore feel, is there any certain guitar that I should know about that could give me that sound. Mainly for playing backup guitar chords and giving a fast fresh sound, if you know what I am talking about. I really would appreciate the help, and hope that I can find what I am looking for.

Yeah, that about covers it. Just what is a "fresh. fast tone" anyway? And if you're looking for something other then the classic sound, why are you bothering with the Fender lounge, maker of classic sounding guitars? When will people realise that the way they sound has little to do with the guitar. Single coils will sound like single coils, humbuckers will sound like humbuckers. A guitar is always going to sound like a guitar. The way you play your instrument, the way you put together riffs and chords, thats what makes a guitar player interesting and new.

Can you give an example of some of the bands you are into? Or the type of music you are playing? These days alternative is a rather broad music term, and I am not sure if you are referring to hardcore punk/metal or what type of music you are referring to. Do you mean something on the lines of Avenged Sevenfold=fast fresh sound or Agnostic Front=classic hardcore?

Great minds think alike. I was thinking about asking Brad to do just that. A simple stickey with a little guitar buying info for the uninitiated.

I TRIED THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY TELE. THE OTHER DAY AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED BY THE OVERALL PERFORMANCE. I AM SURPRISED THAT YOU HAVE NOT SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE BEST GUITARIST ON THE PLANET WHO PLAYS A 63 STRAT. MR. BUDDY WHITTINGTON OF JOHN MAYALL'S BAND! HE CAN SMOKE ANY PLAYER YOU HAVE LISTED. ASK ERIC CLAPTON, BILLY GIBBONS EVEN ELTON JOHN! GIVE HIM A LISTEN AND SEE IF YOU DO NOT AGREE? THANKS, JUST ANOTHER TEXAS GUITAR SLINGER WILDKAT1. :D
