I was Wondering what happens when you plug a guitar pedal like a cry baby to a bass and play, and also what hapens if you plug a guitar to a bass amplifier, or base to a guitar amplifier.

if you play a bass through a guitar amp it could blow the speakers easily.

Your generaly ok with all of what you listed. Basses into guitar amps isnt a danger unless you really wind the volume up. Which is easy to do, basses need a lot more wattage to be heard over a guitar. Not sure of the exact science behind it, it's something to do with their lower frequencies. It's why you'll often see bass amps of 400watts, whilst guitar amps rarely go past 100/120 watts.

With pedals your safe, they just wont sound very good.

i have tried a couple guitar pedals on the bass and they usually come out really buzzy and muddy and i you plug a guitar into a bass amp it really doesnt make a huge diffirence
