Yes, G&L make excellent products, but is it a proper American G&L or a Korean Tribute series?

I have a really good JB-2, made in USA. The JB-2 is not a typical G&L in that it uses a traditional pickup design while most of their other basses use high-output, ceramic based pups. USA G&Ls use good timber and are generally well put together, in my experience. I cannot comment on the Tributes although I have read decent reviews.

I like the JB-2 a lot and it is almost as playable as my Victor Bailey Jazz. Having said this a current American Standard Jazz I tried recently was outstanding. We are spoilt for choice...
