I had to check your song list to make sure this was the same guy who posted Berzerker and yes it is.lol Nat I dont know what else to say except that you are a seriously talented player and writer, who can rip it up with some serious metal playing and then blow some really impressive jazz lines. Nat at only 25 I would honestly say you could go in any direction you choose and do whatever you would like to do as a player, as I believe you are that talented. By the way what are you doing, band, session work or your own thing. I see you have about 9 songs up, and after seeing how you can go from one style to a totally different one so convincingly, I am looking forward to listening to all your music.

Awesome work Nathan. Makes me glad I haven't posted anything on my Soundclick page  I am seriously impressed. Do not hesitate to seek other venues for your ability. LA is not the only recording mecca in the US.

With that being said I haven't met a session player that didn't pay his dues one way or the other. Continue to cultivate the relationships you have and make new ones thru the ones you have. There are great guitar players driving tour buses and changing strings backstage. Never give up your dream...

honestly, i've never listened to alot of jazz. THAT makes me want to. i think you have a great style of playing. if you don't want to gig then don't. but.....you could defineitely entertain alot of folks like me who would enjoy listening to you play live. if i played that well, i'd be findin' me some gigs instead of breaking my back every weekend for extra cash.
i liked it alot.

I thought the intro was a little long but, other than that, I liked it!

i never listen to jazz, i just cant get into it like it can with rock music, but i did like this. honestly, i wouldnt just sit down in an arm chair with a sherlock holmes style pipe by the fireplace and listen to it... but thats the imagery i got from the clips. lol i have no idea why.

very nice playing by the way

Nathan, simply put, there's nothing that you couldn't achieve goal wise with your talent and ability level. I look forward to seeing your name on an album someday!

Nat sometimes persistence pays off. Yes session work is very clickish a good website to stop in on is Steve Lukathers who took the torch from Larry Carlton and the guys in the 70s and played on about 1,000 albums besides forming Toto but Luke fields questions on his site and is a really down to earth crazy MF.lol All it takes is to form a good relation with one of the guys you know and to keep breaking his chops to get you in and that you could care less if it was laying tracks for cartoons. Once you get a foot in a producer will remember you if you make an impression and that is how the phone starts ringing. I may be wrong but judging by your skill level I would believe you could read, I would also learn the Nashville numbers system they use on charts as it is a totally different method.

Anyway you look at it at 25 you are at the perfect age to go in any direction. Metal sells today and would probably be your best direction band wise to go in. My best advice would be for you to start finding the most talented players and a great vocalist and give that route a serious shot. I am on the other coast in NY which is leaning towards a more indie type vibe and that scene is not looking like it is really heading anywhere. All the young bands breaking and on the covers of all the guitar mags are metal and that would be the way I would go.

Very, very talented.

I usually hate Jazz, but found myself switching off the radio and foot tapping in sync good stuff.
