I can't stand the spam, but I don't want to be restricted to some forum put off for newcomers.

We all have to get our starts somewhere...

[Groan...] RR, I'm deeply ashamed of how easy it was for you to find my, uh, level. It obviously wasn't a steep learning curve for you.

Have we plateaued, or is there more...? :D

I do agree with that. I briefly put a little cross of St George on the bottom of my posts on 23 April - whilst worrying that someone might think I meant something completely different by it. You know what I'm getting at...

You shouldn't be worried about putting your national flag up Ceri. If you are a footie fan I'm sure you are looking forward to the world cup. Sadly being Scottish I don't get to look forward to them much. I'm sure no one would be miffed if myself, Alan or Snowy put a Saltire up.
On the other hand here in N. Ireland flags mean so many different things. I personally think it's all BS these days though.
Go ahead and put your England flag up. (Never thought you'd hear a Scotsman in Ireland saying that did you? )

My patriotism is of the quietest, most un-flagwaving kind. I feel very good about where I live - and have absolutely no need to shove it in anyone else's face.

Still, my wife's Irish assistant came to work on St Patrick's day dressed head to toe in the colours of the Irish Tricolour, which was fun. So I kinda thought, why not a little St George's flag on that gentleman's day? After all, he's the patron saint of several countries, not just mine.

The problem is the association with the "knuckledraggers" Nick mentioned. We know what he's talking about, and I can't abide the idea of anyone mistaking my attitudes for theirs...

Now. How do we dye beer white and red? Simultaneously?

Cheers - C

I ike the Idea of a Special Lounge but it wouldnt be a good idea because The vast majority would camp in there and never talk to the newbies! :/

The Spam button would a good idea but also if you make a thread and somebody spams that...then you should be able to remove that comment.

Best luck with fixing this :D and i hope i would rank high enough to make it into Fenders VIP lounge ;)
