Touring is really a young man's game...unless you're Clapton or somebody who rides in style.
I've never toured full time but have family and friends who have and still do,and I have learned from them it wouldn't be for me....only if the band members got along really well and the music was great....how many have that?
Anyway I'm too old now.
I always remember Twiggs Lyndon who was the road manager for the original Allman Brothers,and what happened with him,he got into a fight with a club owner who wouldn't pay what he promised,Twiggs stabbed him to death,and got off on reason of insanity,the cause being that touring with the Allman Brothers would drive anyone crazy...that's what has always been told.
