Hey all, i'm hoping that some folks on here know of any decent sources of backing tracks. The kind like lead vocalists use, similar to accompaniment tracks for wedding songs, or Christian worship tunes. I'd like to find ones for classic rock, blues, you know, good old classic rock & roll songs from the 60's, 70's. cat stevens, jethro tull, the stones, the boss, beatles, chicago, grand funk, moody blues, ah the good old days........sigh..... Thanks!

I once went to a chicago performance at the fiddlers green ampitheater near denver colorado where the entire audience pretty much danced and grooved through the whole 2.5 hour concert, only sitting down for short rests. What an excellent show by an excellent show band!

Hi Dave, I've been looking around and found this download site.

http://www.backingtracks.com/

Here's another, it might be better and it's free

http://www.guitarbackingtrack.com/

Those are two I had handy, there must be a lot of these sites around, perhaps if you just google ' guitar backing tracks ' and see what you come up with.
Also if you want cd's and you don't mind e-bay, you can get them there. These things are becoming very popular lately and you can get backing cd's from the actual artist, another sales outlet from their viewpoint. I guess you gotta look around cd shops in your town or online if you prefer. Amazon might even do these but I'm not sure but I know they are on e-bay, I've seen them and bought some Shadows ones of very good quality.
So I hope that helps Dave.
Good hunting, Cheers. :D

You can easily make your own with www.JamStudio.com

Just set the tempo, type in the chords, and choose your sounds.
