My favorite has always been Star Wars A New Hope. Here is my order:

Clones
Phantom Menace

I think too many people expected too much out of the prequels. Face it were not 10 years old anymore! As much as I love this series (I wore a Jedi costume to the midnight premiere of Revenge of the Sith...yes I am a geek!) There is just as much cheese in the orginal trilogy. C3PO is a little annoying and lets not forget the Ewoks. I still try and look past some of the stiffness in the acting of the prequels and pretend I'm a kid again...at least for 2 hours.
I am also a hardcore collector. I have boxes of Star Wars stuff in my basement. Not too much vintage but I have a lot of stuff. I stopped buying it a few years ago because if i didn't it will never end. I don't even have this stuff on display. What am I going to do with all of it?

Not to lound like a film homosexual but if Irvin Kershner (Empire Strikes Back) had directed Return of the Jedi and the prequels, Life would be a lot better.

Empire is the only one that Lucas didn't direct and IMHO is by far the best... the first one doesn't really count in my rating because that was the debut and he was introducing a revolutionary film and idea so i'm giving it immunity.

Irvin Kershner kept the dialogue more believable, the story more gripping and the characters slightly edgier but thats just me.
