Hard to say. Just mainly want to be happy no matter what it is I'm doing. It would be nice to see it all as meaningful and worth while, regardless of the direction I traveled.

Would be great to come up with an original band, but if not that's okay too.

I'm also hoping to add vocals to my repertoire. I can keep a beat just fine but it throws me off when I have to sing. Need a lot more work on that... 10 years sounds about right!

i'd still like to love playing it as much as i do now and still learning. I say this as you hear to many times that people either get bored or give up or loose the inspiration, and its quite sad to hear.

I may be having my mid-life crisis, but in the last year I have started a band and enrolled in the local conservatory. My goal(s) for the next 10 years are:

1) Keep playing with the band. They are a great group of talented guys.

2) Continue to study jazz and music theory, so that within 10 years I can converse intelligently with real jazz cats, and hold my own in a combo.

Other music goals are to encourage my 6 year old daughter to be involved in music. She is currently taking piano lessons at the conservatory, and likes it. Depending on the day of the week she wants to play either piano, guitar, or drums. So if I fall sort on my personal development goals I will live vicariously through her.

Another welcome to all the new members!

In 10 years I'll be 38. Hopefully I'll be happier and maybe have my dream of my own rehearsal studio opened either here in Belfast or back in Glasgow or New York.

Maybe have a few more records out and god-willing another crack at a family would be nice.

CC

I'm 50 as well - In 10 years I'll be sixty.

I may slow down a bit but I don't think I can stop playing bass, it's my
instrument of choice. Without the sound of a bass guitar in it, it's just
not a song - that's how I feel. (I have a Fender Bullet)
