Nope, the 'Frontline In Home' runs about 36 half-sized pgs.

I miss the big, comprehensive Frontline catalogues, and the Frontline magazines even more. You can't snuggle up in bed with a web-site.

For a quick refresher on everything Frontline click here.

As for the In Home edition, my understanding is that it is indeed being shipped internationally (and, in support of that statement, I did supply an international database to our fulfillment house :-) ) -- though I unfortunately can't speak authoritatively to when you should expect to receive yours.

I signed up for FIH a while back and have since seen two new editions come out, but had to get them from my local GC. None have arrived via mail. Also, I havn't seen any big Fender catalogs anywhere, including GC. The employees there said they have only seen the FIH mini calalogs this year. Is Fender even going to be making them anymore? I look forward to them coming out every year. I used to have 1998-2006, but my mom got ahold of some and thought they were trash, so I no longer have 98-2001.

Is there any way of getting replacments or reprints from Fender? If not, maybe FMIC sould consider offering reprints of past Frontlines as a product available at the Fender online store.

Picked up a FIH at the local store today. Its alright, but truthfully, I really prefer the big magazine size Frontline. I realize though that there are probably many reasons for the change like environmental concerns, production costs, and shipping, but the FIH reminds too much of the small Sam Ash flyers which are high on glossy photos, but low on any actual content or descriptions larger than a few sentences....

Is there a large 2007 Frontline magazine? Or was the 2006 the last edition?

In case you didn't see my comment above, check out this link as it covers the four touchpoints of the current Frontline campaign. As you can see, a long format catalog is not currently in the mix. Do a lot of folks miss it? Absolutely (I mean, that's pretty obvious just from this thread. :-) ) Will it be back at some point in the future? Your guess is honestly as good as mine; all environmental concerns aside the thing is VERY, VERY, VERY expensive to put out -- not just from a printing standpoint but also from the standpoints of personnel and resource investment, warehousing, shipping, etc. So, needless to say a LOT of factors have to be carefully weighed and evaluated whenever we look at putting out a long format piece like that.

I understand the reasons behind the changes. Have you looked into the possibility of charging people for the larger version? That would probably cut down on costs, and I am sure most Fender fanatics like myself wouldn't mind paying a bit to get something like that.

Just an idea, as I appreciate that Fender did not just discontinue the Frontline program entirely, because no Frontline at all would be even more of a bummer. Thanks.

One way of keeping costs down would be to simply reissue an older copy of Frontline. The 2001 edition for instance,of course that means they'd have to reissue products that have been discontinued since then.Such as the DeArmond line.... Sorry 'bout that. I haven't had a proper DeArmond-rant in ages.I'll try to shut up about those dearly, dearly, dearly missed guitars now.Honestly,I will.

I believe Fender used to SELL a big catalog a few years back. I don't know if it was a special edition or what. As I recall it went for about $10.

Anybody remember anything like that?

That option has certainly been looked at in the past, but I actually think you touched on one crucial point there -- namely, Fender fanatics like you and me are willing to fork over some hard earned bread for a long-format catalog like that, but the general public is used to getting stuff and getting it free, dang it. :-) Still, I can easily magine a scenario in there somewhere wherein we put out a smaller-edition "dream book" of sorts that's a bit pricier and specifically tailored to folks like yourself and myself -- i.e., the kinds of folks who want to sit and drool over choice gear all the year long. :-)

Keep me updated if you do not receive the current edition of FIH (with Crossroads on the cover) by, say, 1st week of January -- send me an e-mail directly and I can look into your specific situation.
