at the local shop on sale $606, new, but shows a little wear. Have not seen how much as it is on it's way from a sister store. Sounds like a deal. Don't think it could show $400 worth of wear. Would you pull the trigger on this one?

That's a pretty sweet deal but I'm always weary of great deals like that. My gut says get it and run with it like you stole it ha ha. But I would log some serious time on it in the shop and see how it plays. Bring your guitar to do it too. Is it a Guitar Center type place or a "mom and pop"?

Never been in a guitar center, it's not quite mom and pop, but I'm thinking this one is somewhere in between. Good people, straight shooters; I was told to come in early to check it out before it's out on the floor again to make sure it is acceptable and available to the public. Never heard one in person, only from clips, they sound amazing. Sold a Blues Jr. a while back, was never in love with its reverb. Maybe the Princeton will be the answer. Right now I only have a Gibson Les Paul Jr. GA-5. Great amp but could always use a change now and then.

Well......I checked it out, only one minor cosmetic flaw, as far as sound: flawless, no hum, no rattling.....sonic bliss. $600 was a great deal. '52 Hot Rod Tele is singing now, '79 Starcaster has never sounded better. Have yet to run the amp inline with my GA-5, but am anticipating even more good things.

If anyone is interested....sister store, Ted Brown Music, in Silverdale, WA state has another one same price on sale 5/15/10, in box.

Thanks Dutchy, I will for many many years to come. I had a Blues Jr. but it just didn't do it for me, not like this Princeton. The quest for amp tone is finally completed.
