What's the best Fender Guitar you've ever played? I can be anything from any year: Strat, Tele, whatever.

Define "best"?

Best sounding?

Best playing?

Best looking?

I had the privilege to play Yngwie's guitar when we were doing the Custom Shop model. It's not the best, but it definitely was a moment. I remember when I was 15 and bought the first Yngwie record. It changed my guitar playing life. That was a pretty cool moment.

A couple of others were a 54 Strat in Hollywood, and a 52 Tele that belongs to my friend Richard.

Of course, my favorite guitar is the 1964 Greg Fessler Master Built Strat my wife bought me for my 40th birthday. She's a keeper.....the wife is pretty cool too:)

To be honest I do not know what year it was but it was a Sunburst Custom Shop Strat with a killer AAA flamed maple neck a friend of mine turned up with and left with me a week. He found it in a pawn shop years ago and this guitar sounded like no other I ever played, the feedback was even in perfect tune. This is one guitar I wish I owned and I really should have, as he became hooked on crack bad and I got it out of the pawn shop for him and then found out he sold it a few weeks later for $300.

I love my Lab Rat MIM.

If it gets experimented on anymore it's gonna get bolts throught the neck.

Thats my personal favourite, hands down.

I could go on about all the other guitars I've played but anyone who knows what I mean doesnt need to read that.

The best guitars are like old slippers. Their made 'one size fits loads', to suit plenty of folks. After a while they only fit one foot though.

My 2007 MIM Midnight Wine Stratocaster with Hot Lace Sensor pickups. Second best was a 2010 American Special Telecaster....the 799 one...really great guitar that.

For me sound and playability wise,my 65 Strat and after that most L series(62-65)Strats I've played,a few weren't all that great but as far as what's available now-the Jimmie Vaughn Strat hands down the best guitar bargain on the face of the earth right now,if you're looking or that L series vibe. The only difference with the JV is that the 2nd tone control works the bridge pup as opposed to the middle in the L series. That is a cheap and quick fix for any good tech.

An old friends late eighties Strat Plus in Torino Red, plugged into a red dialled Fender Twin.

Then my old MIM Squier Series Floyd Rose Strat- that was a brilliant guitar. I love my ultra now and my Floyd gets a lot of attention.

To date, the Ultra and my old mim take the cake.

For me, it's my 97' mia standard stratImage
It's hands down the best feeling to play axe i have ever played. I'm torn between which sounds better between the strat and my mim 09' standard teleImage
There's just so much awesome sound that each style can produce in it's own way, it's hard to say for me so far which is my favorite. I may end up with two favorites! the only thing that makes my mia strat any better, other than the higher quality components like listed at this website:shrublands.com. this website comes up using the msn bing browser, but doesn't favor a google search.is that the strats frets are set up better, i.e, no fret buzz and the fret ends are smoother, both relatively easy fixes on the tele for any luthier with the right tools.

Probably the 2010 Am Spec Tele I just bought. Really hadn't planned on buying that guitar that day, but fell in love.

I haven't played a Fender guitar that I didn't like, a lot, the EC sig is fine but the Comanche I set up at the pawn shop just won't leave my brain alone, and then there is Love, my Precision Bass.
