"Uhhhh. I don't know man I mean there is way to much hype over this kid ( really not that good ) but at the same time to have that many women after me..... money up the wazoo.....not to much of a bad thing ya know. Most people will never have a tenth of what this kid has and I'm not saying thats what lifes about but I give him kudos for doing what hes done regardless if I like him or not. Just my two cents"

Don't get me wrong, I would sell out as fast as you can say Green Day but I still can't stand him. lol.

I saw him at the Juno Awards in St. John's a couple of weeks ago and the only ones who were going for him were pre-pubescent girls everyone else thought he was a wimpy ltttle girlie-boy.

Well to keep it real he is only the latest tween fad that will have no career the minute he is able to shave.

Why is this kid getting so much publicity, press and way to many (IMO) TV appearances lately?

From what I understand, he's a 16 yr old singer from Canada that had posted some clips on YouTube and was "discovered" and is now being hyped as the latest and greatest thing since sliced bread...I don't get it?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Bieber

nothing new, since the music died in '59 and Elvis went in the Army in '60 the industry has presented a long line of clones for the public's enjoyment (remember the "British Invasion" all of the boy bands and pop princesses). I met a guitar player outside of my favorite pawnshop on this past Wednesday that told me his friend Pete Wentz of Fallout Boy assured him that they were created by their record company ( he said Sony and I don't know really) that the songs were written for them and that everything about them was a fabrication. Just keep writing good music play your instrument like a professional and don't worry about what they're doing because I don't think any of us Rock music players will be on a bill with Justin.

Yeah, it's amazing how he became an overnight success through YouTube.

It kind of gives an indication of where the money in record sales is going.

SBLS Brings up a good point that there really has always been teen Idols. If you look through the decades they have always been there from Fabian, Frankie Avalon, David Cassidy, Bobby Sherman, Donny Osmond and so on and so forth who have there careers over pretty much the minute there audience hits puberty and really leave to stamp of importance in music history.

I came to this forum trying to escape Justin Beiber.

My 13 year old has one wall of her bedroom made into a collage of him. My 17 year old said she can't wait for his 15 minutes to be up.

I've always found it funny how much venom is spewed at these pop stars. People actually get angry when they see or hear these fabricated pop stars and I just don't understand the reaction. People are people and if someone handed you a contract and a pile of cash to have tv shows and make some records I'm sure that we'd all do the same. They're just luckier than we are I suppose.

I just listened to him on u-tube for the fist time. Just a little kid with a little kids voice. It is a feminine boys voice that young girls think is cute.

It's just the whole Francoamerican Idol thing. As did Britney, Miley, Jonas kids,...cute sells to a certain group....doesn't mean that you have to like it.
