I've been borrowing a pair of Sennheiser cans from the studio to check a song i'm working on on my commute home for things i want to add or fix... boy these things are amazing. I fill a little silly because they are about twice as big as the largest average circa 1970's or 80's headphones so next to the fat guy with his ear buds its a little odd. But jeez... these rock, how does anyone live with earbuds?

Sennheiser make some of the best headphones there are.

For recording and 'serious' listening I use HD-280s.

I use ear buds for MP3 player and proper headphones for practicing. I use a good $100 set of Sony headphones.

I use sennheiser earbuds for my ipod and the qualitty in comparison to apple or sonys or whoever is night and day. Sennheiser make really good products full stop. Whether its earbuds or headphones. They can be quite expensive, but well worth the money :)
