Currently using Cool "alien skin" grip mediums and Dunlop 1mm. It's takes two people to lift but I'm loving it for when I play solo intensive stuff.

I use a variety of picks, but prefer thick picks.

I mostly use Tortex or Gator Grips -1.14 mm

I've used a variety of types over the years--these are two of my actual picks from my early days--a Fender Heavy and a Herco-I stopped using the Fenders as they wore out too quickly and Hercos seemed to disappear from local stores--I couldn't find them anymore.
Image

I also use double picks-the first is a Triplet pick--which isn't made anymore. I saw a couple on Ebay--but they were asking too much, so I keep using this one.
The other two are Stash picks.

i also use a variety of others--mostly 1.14 mm

I don't know what kind of picks I use, I bought a 100 pack 5 years ago from Musiciansfriend and threw away the packaging. All I know is that they're black.

I just got turned on to Ibanez Grip Wizard picks by a friend in the VH forum and am just crazy for them. They have a center of sandpaper on both sides and feel just so comfortable with 0 slippage and are shaped slightly smaller than regular picks. Check them out

Dunlop Jazz III.

I used to use a hand drill (non-electric) and drill some small holes in my picks. If you do, they won't turn in your hand. It also makes them pretty impossible to drop.

Dunlop Tortex .50s, the red ones. Prior to that I used a mixture of Dunlop Ultex .60s and Blackline Original .60s. I've been using the Tortext .50s exclusively for about three years now: I can't see myself changing again.
